Volunteer

We welcome volunteers!

With our groups centered in Anchorage, Juneau and Fairbanks, we also encourage folks from all Alaska communities to get involved.  Interested individuals can hook up with these geographical groups and/or connect with issues-based activism.

Issues that need your support

For preserving the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge or Alaska Oil, Gas and Mining Issues please contact Betsy Goll at betsy@sierraclubalaska.org.

To help out with Alaska Forest Issues, including Prince William Sound, the Chugach National Forest and the Tongass National Forest Campaign contact Katherine Fuselier at katherine@sierraclubalaska.org.

Community Based Activism

To get involved with your local community of Activists,
Knik people should contact the Knik Group at knik.group@alaska.sierraclub.org and
Denali area folks should contact Maryellen at maryellen@sierraclubalaska.org, while
Southeast Alaska - Juneau Group people should contact Irene Alexakos at the Juneau Group juneau.group@alaska.sierraclub.org.

All groups work on statewide issues, while each group also focuses on local issues. For example, the Juneau group spearheads the campaign opposing a Juneau road, and the Knik group follows the progression of the proposed Knik Arm Bridge.
