With our groups centered in Anchorage, Juneau and Fairbanks, we also encourage folks from all Alaska communities to get involved. Interested individuals can hook up with these geographical groups and/or connect with issues-based activism. Issues that need your supportFor preserving the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge or Alaska Oil, Gas and Mining Issues please contact Dan Ritzman, dan.ritzman@sierraclub.org. To help out with Alaska Forest Issues, including Prince William Sound, the Tongass National Forest Campaign, and the Chugach National Forest contact Mark Rorick, mprorick@alaska.net. Community Based ActivismTo get involved with your local community of Activists: All groups work on statewide issues, while each group can decide to focus on local issues. For example, the Juneau group spearheads the campaign opposing a Juneau road, and the Knik group follows the progression of the proposed Knik Arm Bridge.
